2025 Chevy Trax Preview

• There are several changes to the 2025 Trax model, which is in showrooms now.
• The Trax is an extremely affordable gateway to Chevy and SUVs for buyers on a budget.
• Depending on which one of its five trims and many options you pick, the 2025 Chevrolet Trax starts at $21,495 and goes up to $25,395.

There have been quite a few changes to the Trax in 2025:

• Its exterior has shaper lines, bolder front fascia and redesigned grille, making the Chevy emblem more prominent. The LEDs headlights have also been updated for a more modern look. Two new exterior colors, Cypress Gray and Marina Blue Metallic, have been added.
• The interior now boasts higher quality materials, such as soft-touch surfaces—leather upholstery is now also available. The dash has also seen a redesign to incorporate a larger touchscreen interface. Enhanced ambient lighting options, and more rear passenger space has also been added.
• In terms of safety, Chevy has made some more advanced safety features standard across all trims including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, and a rear-seat reminder. A surround-view camera system and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert are available in higher trims.

The Trax’s powertrain consists of a 137-hp turbocharged 1.2-liter inline-three cylinder engine ( now capable of running on E85 fuel) paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. It has enough get up and go for getting you around town, but may be a little perky on the freeway. It gets mileage ratings of 28 mpg/city and 32 mpg/highway.

The Trax’s dash is intuitive with its neatly placed driver-facing infotainment screen and climate controls. The 2025 model has a longer wheelbase than it did last year, which means more rear legroom and cargo space. Remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a sunroof availability varies by trim.

The Trax LS and 1RS trims feature an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 11.0-inch touchscreen is featured on the LT and up with an 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and there’s an available wireless phone charger, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
