2024 Chevy Equinox EV Preview

The new Equinox EV retains the design of its gas-powered predecessor while incorporating futuristic touches to distinguish its electric nature. Expect smooth, aerodynamic lines that optimize efficiency with an elegant front fascia that houses a signature Chevy grille. Though futuristic, the Equinox EV will still come with a bold, sporty look that is sure to capture your attention.

Though not much information has been given about the Equinox EV’s interior, you should expect a spacious and tech-focused cabin that combines comfort and practicality. As for cargo space, you should expect 57 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Expect a nice interior for your short and long commutes in the Equinox EV.

The Equinox EV should come with an 11-inch touchscreen and digital cluster screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, some reports say that higher trims of the Equinox EV may come with a 17.0-inch touchscreen; however, this detail and other details have not been confirmed yet.

As for safety, the Equinox EV should come with features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear-cross traffic, and parking sensors. Some advanced features that may come are a 360-degree camera, rear camera mirror, and heads-up display. The vehicle should be equipped to keep occupants protected and informed while making every journey a safe and enjoyable one.

The 2024 Equinox EV should come with two electric motor options:

• FWD electric motor that produces 210 horsepower and 242 lb-ft of torque
• AWD electric motors that produce 290 horsepower and 346 lb-ft of torque

The FWD motor should have a range of about 250 miles while the AWD motors should have a range of 280 miles; however, the max range for these motors should be about 300 miles. As for charging, you are expected to get 70 miles of range within 10 minutes of charging if you have a 150kW-capable DC fast charging system.

However, you could get the standard 11.5 kW level-2 charging system that can charge up to an estimated 34 miles of range per hour. The Equinox EV should also show all the charging locations of where you can charge while on the road.
