The most notable new addition to the 2021 Chevy Corvette is the availability of the Magnetic Selective Ride Control without the Z51 performance package. The Magnetic Ride Control technology has become a staple feature for many of Chevrolet’s 2021 models. The technology is governed by suspension-mounted accelerometers that measure the performance of the Corvette based on road surfaces and undulations, making micro-calculations on the fly to improve stability and create a smoother ride.

The way it works is that the sensors send signals to an electronic control unit within the shocks that can stiffen the pistons within the dampers thanks to a substance known as magnetorheological fluid. Front-wheel drive 2021 Chevy Blazers equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 will also now be capable of towing up to 4,500 lbs thanks to a new trailering package upgrade. The Trailering Package comes packed with a heavy-duty cooling system, along with hitch guidance, enabling the Blazer to tow more than the 1,500 lbs limit that the standard trims offer. Previously, this package was only available on all-wheel drive models with the V6 engine.
