2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 Exterior

2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 Preview

With many upcoming supercars being released with over the top engines such as the Mustang GTD, of course Chevy had to get in on the fun. Chevrolet is releasing the Corvette ZR1 in 2025 with the most powerful engine a Corvette has ever seen, outputting 1064 horses. Unfortunately not much is known about the speed of the vehicle, but it is sure to have a 0 to 60 that competes with other supercar models. Key Takeaways The Corvette ZR1 will be released in 2025 and the price is not yet known, but should start somewhere around $200,000. The Z06 is slower than the ZR1 in the quarter mile, and we are waiting to see if the ZR1 will also beat it from 0 to 60 mph. This brand new Corvette has 1064 horsepower out of a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8. How much is the 2025 ZR1 Corvette? The exact price of the 2025 ZR1 Corvette is currently unknown, unfortunately it is unlikely to start below or even near $100,000. Car and Driver believes the upcoming sports car will start around $180,000 and climb to $205,000 at the high end. This is a fairly accurate estimate of the MSRP of the most powerful ‘Vette ever made. The ZR1 will be a similar offering to the Mustang GTD, but will most likely come in at a cheaper price, as the GTD will cost around $300,000. The best part is the Corvette costs almost $100,000 less and should have 200 horsepower more than the upcoming Mustang supercar. The ZR1 will have 1064 horsepower, whereas most estimates of the GTD put it around 800 horsepower. We will talk about the engine in more detail in one of the paragraphs below. This price range puts it similar to the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT3 offerings which start around $200,000 and $250,000 respectively. Even though the Porsche is considered by many to be a faster car, the Z06 had a faster 0 - 60 mph time, reaching it in just 2.6 seconds. The ZR1 has almost 400 more horsepower than the Z06 so we are interested to see how much faster it is than the outgoing super Corvette. The Corvette will be competitively priced for the vehicles it is competing with, and not just with the Porsche models. Another comparable vehicle is the Nissan GTR, which comes in around $123,000 starting MSRP and is $223,000 for the highly valued NISMO trim. While the Corvette starts a bit pricier. This is because it comes with more luxury interior features such as a 12 inch gauge display, an infotainment screen that's modern and more carbon fiber and leather appointments throughout the cabin. The Corvette ZR1 is competitively priced for the segment, and not that overpriced considering the engine and luxury features it comes with. Is a ZR1 faster than a Z06? The ZR1 should be faster than a Z06, as the Z06 Corvette did a quarter mile in 10 or 11 seconds, whereas the ZR1 did the quarter mile in under 10 seconds. The 0 to 60 mph time for the ZR1 has not yet been released by Chevrolet, but the Z06 did it in just 2.6 seconds. And the ZR1 has 394 more horsepower than the Z06 does. The new twin turbo V8 engine in the Chevrolet is bound to be impressive, and we are sure the 0 to 60 mph time will be just as impressive. Some doubt the ZR1 will be able to match the 2.5 second 0 to 60 mph time of the E-Ray, but others believe the ZR1 could do it in just 2.3 seconds. The Corvette ZR1 is sure to be fast, and we personally think it should beat the 2.6 seconds posted by the Z06, but by how much is a whole different discussion. We can confirm the ZR1 is faster than the Z06 in the quarter mile by at least 1 to 2 seconds, which should mean the ZR1 is faster overall. How much horsepower does the Corvette ZR1 have? The Corvette ZR1 will have 1064 horsepower, while the more than 1,000 horsepower club is not incredibly small, it is very exclusive in terms of price and availability. The engine that produces this massive amount of power is a twin turbo 5.5 liter V8, which is considered by many to be a brand new engine platform from Chevy. Around 30 vehicles exist that are street legal and have more than 1000 horsepower, and the ZR1 has now joined the lineup. Some other famous vehicles make this list such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Bugatti Chiron, Hennessey Venom F5 and the Koenigsegg Gemera. The Corvette is one of the first vehicles to make this list and not come from a high end manufacturer. While it will certainly have a higher end ticket price, it is a much more achievable dream than any of the vehicles listed prior. Chevy has done its best to make this Corvette have a completely functional exterior with flow through hood and ground effects, side inlets and an available carbon fiber aero package. All of these combine to make it so that this Corvette has more downforce than any of its predecessors. As opposed to other sports cars that have these features added for aesthetics, all of the Corvette engineers promise that each of the features of the exterior have aerodynamic or engine cooling purposes in mind, and sometimes both. Summary The Corvette ZR1 promises to be one of the most impressive vehicles of 2025. Many are eagerly awaiting to just see this vehicle out on the road. With the most powerful engine that has ever graced a Corvette, this V8 monster outputs 1064 horsepower and displaces 5.5 liters. While a lot of information has already been published about the ZR1, there is still some information that has to be released on the upcoming ZR1. As we know more we will continue to publish more about the impressive supercar.

2025 Chevy Malibu Preview

The Malibu is a great vehicle but unfortunately the 2025 model year will be the last year of its production. This is largely due to Chevrolet focusing on its larger style vehicles and sports cars. This could also potentially be because Chevrolet is making room for the future production of the Camaro EV line. However it ends, we're sad to see the Malibu drive off into the sunset. Key Takeaways: The 2025 Malibu will be the last year of the sedan, but it will be available for sale. The Malibu starts at around $27,000 for the LS trim, and is as pricey as $33,000 for the high end 2LT trim. The 2025 Malibu uses a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine that makes for 160 horsepower and pairs it with a CVT. Are they making a 2025 Chevrolet Malibu? Yes there will be a 2025 Chevrolet Malibu, but it will be the last iteration of the sedan. Chevrolet announced that the vehicle will be discontinued after the 2025 model year, and that no 2026 iteration will be forthcoming. This is because of decreased sales in the sedan market, with tough competition coming in the form of the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and the Hyundai Sonata. The large sedan segment has become a difficult one in America, as most consumers lean towards larger vehicles, and many consider sedans to be less viable than crossovers or SUVs. Not only is Chevrolet exiting the sedan industry they are choosing to focus on other projects such as the Chevy Bolt EV. This is sad news for the once iconic Chevrolet Malibu, but good news for those who love Chevy SUV projects such as the upcoming Corvette SUV, Bolt EV or Blazer. This is the last year of the Malibu, and unfortunately we are not seeing much of a send off for the vehicle either. How much is the 2025 Malibu? The 2025 Malibu will start at an MSRP around $27,000 with the LS trim and then climb up to $33,000 for the top tier trim of the 2LT. The LS trim starts off with the basics, getting you into an affordable car and helping you to get here and there easily enough. The RS trim ups the ante with more black designs throughout the interior and exterior. The 1LT trim will start around $29,300 and comes with dual AC climate control; it also features automated emergency braking and lane keeping assist. The 2LT trim is likely to offer a Bose sound system and a dual pane sunroof. The Malibu will be a great vehicle and makes for a very solid commuter car. How much horsepower does the 2025 Chevy Malibu have? The 2025 Chevy Malibu will have a 160 horsepower 1.5 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine that is available with only a continuously variable transmission (CVT). CVTs are impressive because they do not operate using specific gear ratios like the traditional transmissions we have become accustomed to. This means that you do not have the feeling of shift points like you do in a traditional vehicle, and drivers can notice a lack of shift feel. While the Malibu was already known for its smooth driving experience, this makes it even more appreciable for the smooth ride as it lacks the feeling of shifting between gears. Summary The Chevrolet Malibu will go into its last year in 2025. And unfortunately will be going the way of the dodo in 2026. The vehicle will not continue on into the new year as Chevrolet focuses on other projects it has such as the upcoming Corvette SUV, and to open up more room for the production of the Bolt EV. This vehicle will be a great option for those looking to grab the last year of the once iconic Chevrolet sedan.
