The Silverado HD ZR2 Bison is Chevy’s first heavy-duty off-roader. Not only is this all-new truck equipped to move major weight, but it’s also ready to travel deep into off-road territory. When you hit the trail in this big Silverado, you may be surprised at just how smooth and responsive it actually is! Thanks to its unique blend of capabilities, the Silverado HD ZR2 Bison is a great choice for drivers who want to tow their outsized toys into the wild.

Meant for high-speed trail performance, this heavy-duty truck is loaded with impressive hardware. Multimatic DSSV dampers offer position-sensitive shock absorption and a heat-dissipating aluminum design. When you need hardcore traction, the electronically locking rear differential definitely comes in handy.

Like any great off-roader, the ZR2 Bison puts plenty of space between itself and uneven terrain, with a 1.5-inch suspension lift and 35-inch tall Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT mud-terrain tires. With a 29.8-degree approach, 25.7-degree departure, and 22.6-degree breakover angle, you’ll be going up and over some impressive boulders.

Compared to the regular Silverado HD ZR2, the ZR2 Bison adds AEV accessories designed to help you tackle insane terrain. These include a winch-capable AEV steel front bumper with recovery hooks and integrated fog lights, and an AEV steel rear bumper with recovery hooks. These trucks are extra-protected from the elements, too, thanks to their boron-steel bash plates.

The all-new Silverado HD ZR2 Bison is only available as a Silverado 2500 Crew Cab truck with a 6-foot-7-inch bed. The good news is that this is the body style that’s best suited for fun-loving adventure. Inside, the crew cabin treats you and your loved ones to generous passenger space and supportive seating. Compared to the Silverado HD’s optional long bed, the standard bed is the perfect size for off-roading, lending itself to both utility and stunning off-road agility.
